How to Delete Apps on Android Mobile | Uninstall Apps from Google Play Store

maximios February 23, 2024 IT

Everything has a limit and your android phone also has a limit to store something. What can be the big thing which covers more storage on your device, this is apps. There are millions of apps are available on Google Play Store and I don’t know how many apps you are using on your android phone. But I know this if your phone storage is filled and you want space, so you can delete the unused data from your phones such as images, PDF, apps, and more that you do not use longer. It’s not necessary every time to clear the storage you need to uninstall the apps or delete the app. Choose wisely and make the selection of all the unused or unnecessary data and delete them to free up space on your android. Whether you are deleting your apps to clear your phone’s storage or deleting the specific apps; you can follow this guide. In this article, we will guide you on how you can delete apps on android with a few steps.

You can apply this method to all versions of Android. Deleting the apps from the setting is just like the skeleton in the body because the body cannot run with the bones. Here’s what you need to do is,

  1. Open the Setting menu on your device and find the “Apps or Application manager (depending on your device).
  2. Under the App or Application manager, find the apps you want to delete and choose it, and then just click on the uninstall button.

Note: If you come across an app that cannot be removed, then simply follow the same instructions as above, just substituting Disable for Uninstall in the final step. That should ensure that the offending app-while not removed totally-cannot be activated or impact your day-to-day activity.

There is another method you can follow to delete the apps. Deleting the apps from Google Play Store is really easy.

Find and launch the Play Store app on your device. Open the Setting and choose My Apps & games, and just locate to the Installed section, open the app you wish to delete, and click on Uninstall.

After a while, the app will be deleted from your device. If you want to get rid of more apps, just click on the back button on your smartphone or tablet to get to the Installed section again and repeat the process.

This is the easiest method for deleting apps on android, but this jiggling method may not available on older versions of android phones.  If this method isn’t working on your android versions, you can stick to either one of the two options listed above.

Open the phone and navigate to the app you want to delete on the home screen or app drawer. Tap and hold the app you want to delete until all the apps start jiggling (all apps start moving).

You can find the X icon on every app, click on the X and you will be prompted “Are you sure you want to delete the app”. Click Delete or OK and your app will delete.

Deleting apps on Samsung Galaxy Android 10.0 (Q) is as same as on other android devices, but these can be varying on the options.

Swipe up on the screen to access your Apps Tray and long-press the app icon for more options and choose  Uninstall Click on OK to uninstall the app.

Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones have a couple of hidden settings for the MIUI platform. It means an in-built Mi app comes with several tabs and could not run differently on different android versions and MIUI versions. So before go ahead, make sure to check your android versions and then go ahead. Read on.

Launch “MIUI” hidden settings on your Xiaomi or Redmi device. Now choose the android version. You can check the android version of your phone via Settings.

Once you select the android versions, choose the “Manage Applications” button. On the following page, you will find the list of apps on your phone. You can choose here the app you wish to delete from your Xiaomi or Redmi phone. Next, click on Disable or Uninstall.

That’s it. However, there are still some other android versions that perform more like iOS instead of android in more respects. Still, we present you with the best information; hope this will help you so much.
